Easter Island

Easter Island was settled by Polynesians and, just like on Hawaii, a flower lei is traditionally placed on new arrivals.

Only four flights a week arrive on the island and there are no jetways.

With 90 rooms, the Hangaroa Hotel is the best on the island.

Most of the over 800 stone heads or moais were carved from this quarry and dragged to their final locations.

Chickens, brought by the Polynesians, are plentiful on the island and provide feathers to dress native dancing girls.
