At the nightclub Esquina Carlos Gardel the orchestra hovers over the back of the stage while tango dancers perform highly choreographed tango exhibitions. This view shows five couples but most of the dances are performed by single couples performing intricate moves that draw the viewers’ full concentration.

The orchestra consists of typical tango instrumentation — piano, bass, violins and bandoneons, a type of accordion.

At the conclusion of the show, each couple takes a curtain call.
