Ushuaia, Argentina

 

Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, lies on the island of Tierra del Fuego. It is the supply base and launching point for most Antarctic expeditions.

Snow was scraped up by crewmen to make this snow mouse on the Lido deck.

Riding a small boat in the Beagle Channel, we saw Blue-eyed Cormorants, Fur Seals and Sea Lions.

The female Upland Goose has a reddish head, but the male’s head is white.

This Red Fox was not too wary of people.
